Welcome to Starlight Hollow Farm

Hi, friends! I’m Rachael, the owner and operator.

Nestled in Hamilton, Virginia, Starlight Hollow Farm is a female veteran-owned small business inspired by a love of natural fibers, thoughtful craftsmanship, and the beauty of well-loved things.

I offer ethically produced angora fiber and handmade goods, along with a thoughtfully curated collection of natural-fiber products, natural treasures, and one-of-a-kind thrifted finds. From soft, sustainable fibers to beautifully made goods and pieces with a little history, everything is selected or created with intention and an appreciation for quality, craftsmanship, and slower living.

Why Local Angora Matters

When I first discovered how much of the world’s angora rabbit fiber is sourced from China—and learned about the cruel harvesting practices commonly used there—I knew there had to be a better way.

Ethically sourced angora fiber can be surprisingly difficult to find here in the United States, and reliable domestic sources are few and far between. That’s why I created Starlight Hollow: to help fill that gap by offering locally sourced, ethically produced angora fiber that you can feel good about using.

For me, this fiber is about more than softness and beauty. It’s about knowing where it comes from, treating the animals who provide it with care and respect, and supporting small, local fiber producers. I’m proud to help make this beautiful, sustainable fiber more accessible to the people who love working with it.
